Food is our Medicine

Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” .

How true it is!!

FOOD - does much more than simply provide your body and cells with fuel. It will promote or worsen health, depending on what you eat. Whole foods have been shown to prevent many chronic diseases and may help treat some conditions, such as fighting cancer, diabetes, arthritis, kidney stones, high blood pressure, etc.

Pesticide's build up in your food and are harmful to your health!

Nutrition and Diet after my liver transplant

Since my liver transplant in 2019. The first year, I was having trouble digesting food because of no gallbladder and thick bile. When they do a partial liver transplant, the surgeon has to connect bile ducts, which cause a decrease in the size of the bile duct. This decrease in size and thick bile will cause a blockage. I was getting extremely sick every two weeks, almost to the day. So sick, that I would be rushed to the hospital for evaluation and testing. Then given antibiotics and other medication to remove infection from my blood and thin the bile. This medication made me a complete different person. My normal personality is, I try to inspire people, with humor, smiles and just loving life, being happy. Every day is a gift to me and I want to make it the best day possible for you and me, so why be glum and sad. I try to find happiness in every moment even adverse situations can give you education and there is a bright side, you just need to be open to it.

Well, the “OTHER GUY” taking the medication was very ANGRY – even yelling at people. Leave me alone. I’d fly off the handle at the least little irritant.

The good news – I realized this when I flew off the handle at my wife one day and then when I was speaking to my medical coordinator, and she notified my medical doctor. So, I stopped that day and told them there needs to be something else!

My wife started to research as she has done form the beginning of my cancer diagnosis. She started me on a diet of, a small amount Arugula, celery and red beets with sautéed beet greens prior to every meal. This remedy has stopped the thick bile and I have not been sick for over 6 months now. Thank goodness I love red beets and the sautéed greens. Even celery is starting to be tasty haha…

I hope this helps you in some way.
